2nd Amendment Issues, Skeet Shooting and Shooting Links, updated April 23, 2008
These pages feature my positons on 2nd Amendment issues. I am a skeet shooter (life member of NSSA), and occasional hunter. As an Endowment Member of NRA, I don't always agree with NRA's positions. I think they made a big mistake pushing "right to carry" onto the Missouri ballot in 1998; we will all suffer because the anti-gun people can now point to an anti-gun popular vote. It would have been better to spend the money and effort to elect a pro-gun governor.
Recent letters that appeared in the Warrensburg Gazette in my Gadfly series:
- Gadfly 262 takes on the urban press's rantings aginst concealed carry.
- Gadfly 236 identified some heroes and villains as our county began accepting license applications. (4/15/04)
- Gadfly 208 discussed the override vote. (9/25/2003)
- Gadfly 197 commented on the veto after he did it. (7/10/2003)
- Gadfly 190 Advocated asking the governor not to veto concealed carry. (5/12/2003)
