General Information: This shoot is limited to the first 45 shooters who pre-register. Pre-registration is recommended for all shooters. Squads desiring positions should designate a squad leader to establish reservations. Preference will be given to 5 Gun Shooters.

Five-Person squads will be used. Each squad must be on the field prepared to begin at the designated times. Shoot management will allow one and two gun shooters to shoot up to two events on Friday 22 June. This will allow more shooters to participate in these events. Competitors who shoot on Friday are responsible for checking the scoreboard during that events regular rotation to determine their involvement in any shoot-off. Proof and shoot-off shells are the responsibility of the shooter.

CLASS AWARDS

$10.00 per entry returned to Class as follows:

1-5 Entries 100%

6-10 Entries 60/40%

11 + Entries 50/30/20%

  • Gun champion comes out of class and is guaranteed $100.00.
  • HOA by class. All option money stays in class, plus $700.00 added money allocated by number of shooters in class. Event HOA comes out of class and is guaranteed $200.00.
    HOA CLASSES ARE NSSA HOA/HAA CLASSIFICATION TABLES.
  • Lady's HOA will receive $100.00 if there are 6 entries; $50.00 if there are 4 entries. There is no cost to enter.

OPTIONS:

  • 20 Gauge Horse Race: Win, Place & Show. The club enters all participants.
  • 20 Gauge Horse Race: The club will run a 20 gauge Horse Race on Saturday. The entry's score will be based upon their class and the club's established handicap. All shooters are entered and participants and guests are invited to participate and support their favorite shooter.

CONCURRENTS

All concurrents are available for honors only. No charge to the shooter.

WINNERS WILL BE PAID BY MAIL.

Rules and Regulations: This shoot is authorized and registered with the MSSA & NSSA. All rules and regulations will be strictly observed. All shooters must be current members of the governing bodies. Non-members will be enrolled at registration.

Classification: Classifications will be based on current rules and regulations of the NSSA. HOA classification will be based upon a shooters FOUR-GUN average as of the last reclassification. The shooter must present a current classification card at registration with all average scores calculated. It is the shooter's responsibility to verify current classification prior to departing registration area.

Ties: All ties for championships will be shot off. All will be shot off with doubles on stations 3, 4, and 5, miss and out by station.

Protests: The referee's decisions on questions of fact will be final. Any protest regarding interpretation of rules must be made before the shooter shoots the next station. Protests will be referred to the Shoot Protest Committee.

Program Changes: Shoot management reserves the right to make changes in this program without notification, recourse, or protest. Shoot management additionally reserves the right to refuse entry to any contestant, or cause the withdrawal of any contestant, who annoys, endangers, or interferes with the normal operation of this shoot.

Food and Beverages: Food and Beverages will be available for lunch on Saturday and Sunday at no cost to the shooter. The Springfield Rod & Gun Club will host a dinner on Saturday night at no cost to the shooter and spouse.

Practice Rounds and Ammunition: Practice rounds may be shot beginning at 11:00 Friday 2 June and continue as long as fields are available. Practice after 1:00PM Friday will be restricted to field #4. Cost of practice rounds is $3.00. Hand loads are permitted IAW NSSA rules and regulations.

Chief Referee and Protest Committee: The members of the protest committee are Bill Wayne, Steve Krebs and Dave Runyon. The Chief Referee for the Mitchell Peanut Open will be Hub Breuer.

SILENT AUCTION

Special silent auction of donated items including33 MEC 900G loaders and 3 Grabbers, 2 Remington 1100 shotguns, a 22 rifle with scope, an air rifle, and more.
